‘Flowers of Evil’

In summer 2015 in the suburb of eastern Helsinki, mostly inhabited by immigrants, a riot breaks out after a Finnish father is hospitalized as a result of police brutality. The film starts with the events leading to the riots and is seen from the point of view of two youngsters: Juno, 26, and Sipe, 14, and their family.

‘Haze’

It showcases four street children called “batang hamog” who got hooked in two consecutive and unexpected events in their daily routine of crime and survival in the busy streets. One of them, Jinky, the only girl in the group, suddenly disappears in the hands of a kidnapper, a taxi driver they victimize with haphazard thievery.
