Iconic figures born in the Year of the Snake
The Year of the Snake has produced some of China鈥檚 most influential figures, each leaving a profound mark on history and culture.
For instance, Mao Zedong (1893), a towering figure in modern Chinese history, led the founding of the People鈥檚 Republic of China.
Similarly, Lu Xun (1881), one of the most prominent writers in 20th-century China, is celebrated for his critical works that challenged traditional Chinese society. Soong Ching Ling (1893), the revered former first lady of China, played a pivotal role in political and humanitarian efforts.
