Innovative ideas display moves to Changde Road

THE annual Shanghai International Creative Industry Week opens today, featuring innovative ideas from around 20 countries and regions.
The full week event runs through October 21 at 800 Creative Industry Center on Changde Road.
Since it was established in 2005, the event has attracted 600,000 visitors.
The 800 Creative Industry Center is a chic and new creative hub in an electric machinery factory covering more than 11,000 square meters.
Every year, the creative industry event is held in a different venue.
"Due to its location in the downtown core, we're sure the 800 Creative Industry Center will become a highlight," says Feng Dong, spokeswoman for the center. It might also become a center for international fashion shows, she says.
The exhibition will feature industrial product designs, home and furniture design, animation, landscape and innovative design in other fields.
Participants include Australia, Brazil, Germany, and Netherlands.
It will include a forum, "Creative City and Expo 2010."
