Photos recall highlights of Brazilian football

AN exhibition featuring historical moments of the Brazilian national football team opened on Monday at the Shanghai World Financial Center.
The show, entitled “Football, the Love of Brazilians,” is presented by the Brazilian Consulate General in Shanghai in the entrance lobby of the building until August 21.
The consulate provided 54 photos that captured great moments of Brazilian football stars, such as Pele, Dunga, Cafu, Ronaldo Nazário and Rivaldo Ferreira. Many of these pictures are shown in Shanghai for the first time.
Memorable moments include Dunga holding the 1994 World Cup as the captain of the winning Brazilian team, Pele hugging Ronaldo to celebrate the team’s fifth World Cup championship in 2002.
Meanwhile, a light show will be held on the facade of the 492-meter-high skyscraper tomorrow when the 2016 Rio Olympics opens in a grand ceremony in the Brazilian city. The building will shine in the colors of green and yellow, the theme colors of Rio Olympics, from 6pm to 11pm.
