Tango star Godoy to take local stage

ARGENTINE sensation Mora Godoy will share the passion and elegance of tango with local dance lovers in a series of spectacular performances scheduled at Shanghai Oriental Art Center.
Godoy, a legendary dancer and the founder of her own tango company, has danced the tango for more than 30 years. She is considered the most prominent tango dancer and choreographer in Argentina.
In March, Godoy tangoed with US President Barack Obama at a state dinner in Buenos Aires. The artist is also adept at incorporating elements of ballet into tango. She has been seen in Hollywood movies and performed at international galas.
Tango is famed for its passion and tango stars are known for their superb footwork. The performances will feature dazzling choreography and classic scores from Argentina.
