Pudong's Mandarin and Chinese culture course

PUDONG New Area's annual - and free - Mandarin and Chinese Culture Program gets underway this Saturday.

Since October 2006, the Pudong New Area government has sponsored six sessions of its language and culture program. Each runs around three and a half months.

The seventh session will be held through January 14. One session meets Saturdays, a parallel session meets Wednesdays.

Space is limited; early enrollment is encouraged.

The course facilitates working and living for international residents in Pudong and in Shanghai at large.

All expats living, working and studying in Shanghai are welcome.

Courses cover virtually every aspect of living in China and Shanghai, including Chinese festivals, greetings, shopping, cuisine, seeing a doctor, using transport, banking, schooling and other topics.



Date: Saturdays, September 12-January 9; 2pm-4pm

Wednesdays, September 16-January 14, 1pm-3pm

Venue: Pudong Public Service Center, 2 Hehuan Rd
