Self-service machines make life easier
ZHENRU Town has opened two 24-hour self-service machines at its community affairs service center to make life more convenient for residents with busy work schedules.
Like an ATM, the machines can be used at any time and the center also has the district’s first “smart social work” system.
“It’s very convenient, just like the bank. I used to have to take half-a-day off work to manage my matters,” said a resident surnamed Li. “Now with the 24-hour self-service machines, I can come whenever I want.”
A center employee guided Li through the process of paying her water, electricity and gas bills with the machine. She also used it to print out a detailed guide about business policies, eligibility, documents needed and standard service processing times.
This service saves time and energy while improving efficiency.
One only needs to swipe their identity card to enter the self-service area.
The social insurance query service is for individuals to check their account balance, change passwords, and print out pension interest sheets and more.
The billing system enables residents to pay water, electricity, gas and phone bills using credit cards, as well as checking account and cross-bank transfers.
The “smart social work” system allows users to print out all kinds of service directories and guides, as well as making inquiries. It provides individualized counsel.
The community affairs service center in Zhenru now provides 173 services, according to officials.
These services include: labor and social security, civil administration relief, social insurance, housing security, health care, family planning and disability support.
