A bittersweet transition begins

GRADUATION is bittersweet. On one hand, it is the ultimate goal of high school; you receive the long-anticipated reward for your hard work, perseverance and effort. Yet it also a time where you realize that you are about to begin a life where teachers and parents cannot lead you through everything anymore. For the first time, you are almost completely dependent upon yourself.

Just after graduation, I’m certain that very few of us are ready for the real world. It is more of a transition period knowing that you have completed your time at school and the next step of your life is about to begin, but none of it feels real enough. So for the time being, you’re experiencing graduation blues, knowing you have to say goodbye to teachers who have given you the much needed support, but also parting with friends and family once the summer is over.

My high school experience was incredible; my whole year group has developed and become united so that, at the end of it, we came out strong and graduated together as a family.

This is the time where you can finally wake up without any deadlines. You have the chance to invest as much time as possible with the ones you love and give back the time you’ve spent on your studies over the past two years. It is true that time is the only thing you cannot ever get back. Right now, this is evermore so relatable — so make the best out of what you’ve got left and enjoy every single day to the fullest.
