In the ocean of Hokkaido, little seal swam with her mother.

Her mother’s name was Crystal, her name was Chris.

Chris and Crystal lived happily together.

But in the winter morning, the sun’s light was shining on the surface of the frozen ocean.

Chris woke up and found her mother was gone.

Chris did not get nervous, because she thought her mother must have gone out to find food as usual.

So she was happy to swim in the sea.

Chris waited a day and a night, but her mother still did not come back.

Chris began to feel a little nervous, but she still believed that mother was out looking for food.

She continued to wait for a day and a night, a day and a night.

Chris did not know why her mother had not come back, she began to leave home to look for her mother Crystal.

She swam in the sea for a long time, and finally found a small hole in the sea ice that she could climb out of.

When she climbed onto the ice, the sun was shining on her eyes.

She found her friends playing games on the ice, their mother was in the warm sunshine.

She came to seal group, and asked if they had seen her mother Crystal.

But all of the answers were NOT!

Chris became sadder and sadder, she did not know why her mother did not come back, did not know why she did not love her!

Some days later, Chris learned how to live alone, and she became more and more happy.
