Charity performance aids quake victims

STUDENTS from Shanghai Singapore International School's Minhang Drama CCA presented a charity musical production "An Evening at the Theater" on May 21 to raise funds for the victims of the Yushu County earthquake in northwestern Qinghai Province.
The event, well attended by more than 180 parents, staff, students and guests, was a successful and remarkable experience. With many other fund-raising activities initiated by SSIS students in May, a total donation of more than 50,000 yuan (US$7,324) was raised and donated to Qinghai Province through the Shanghai Red Cross.
Through these meaningful activities, the school's core values as caring global citizens of this world were truly reinforced among the SSIS community.
Hopefully, the Qinghai earthquake survivors can move on with their lives stronger than ever.
