'I want to become a teacher and help change a child's life'

I have had many thoughts about what I will be when I grow up.

I thought about becoming a rock star, but I gave up on that pretty quickly. As far back as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a teacher. I used to always want to play school with my friends, and set up my classroom and pretend to be a teacher, with imaginary students.

My mom has made a career in education, so I have always looked up to her and seen her teach. I have always thought of being a first-grade teacher at an international school. I find diversity in an international classroom interesting. My ambition is to pursue a career as a teacher, as I think it is a very satisfying and rewarding job.

Teaching is a challenging job, you have to constantly educate yourself to keep up with the fast-changing world. I expect a teaching career to be demanding but rewarding. Though before I can start my teaching career, I still have many more years to go. I first have to finish my basic education in high school. Then I hope to be able to study in a great college. In college I will need to get a bachelor's degree and then a master's degree in education to start my professional career.

Teaching won't be easy, but I am ready for the challenge. I will be a very committed teacher and hopefully change a child's life. I wish for my students to be open-minded and curious about the world. In my classroom students will discover their talents and start to believe in themselves.
