Looking forward to life of pure happiness

FIFTEEN years spent in the education system, working and working. All for those couple of weeks when we sit our exams and prove that we are ready to enter the adult world.

Then comes that blissful time, graduation. A time when there is no pressure on us and we can finally relax and enjoy the warm Shanghai summer.

Although it is great having finally finished school, it is still a tense time. Many of us have applied to university and are now waiting on results to confirm where we will spend the next couple of years.

For most of us, a new adventure will begin next year - we can finally live on our own. Although the prospect is scary, I am personally looking forward to the experience. But why worry about something you can't control right now? I am simply enjoying my life without the IB, as are so many students around Shanghai.

A life without CAS, the extended essay or TOK. A new life not dictated by scholars hundreds of kilometers away but by me and whatever friends are still conscious. A life of pure happiness.
