Senior year: a time to savor memories and eye the future

I still can’t believe I’m a high school senior. It seems like just a week ago I was still that little 8th grade boy with unkempt hair, sitting in Mr Lambert’s classroom, preparing for my debate on whether or not cannabis should be legalized. With the first week of senior year over, I’m sure many of my peers share the same sentiment: we’ve come a long way.

For those who have been at Concordia since pre-school, to those who are new students this year, our journeys up to this point have all been different, but I believe we’re all ready to take the next step and get into college. College seems to be the long-awaited destination of our 18-year journey. But before I reach it, there is still a lot I want to achieve and savor during my final year.

As student president, I look forward to bringing real, positive change to my community. I look forward to hosting APAC soccer, and hopefully hoisting the trophy with my teammates in front of our supporters. But most importantly, I look forward to spending my remaining time here with the friends, family, and teachers who have made me who I am today. I will cherish every last minute of my senior year with my Concordia family.
