Talented SSIS students make stage come alive
WHAT do you get when you put four equally passionate music, dance and drama professionals together with a group of talented and dedicated students? You get a spectacular show called "Crystal Comes Alive."
The Shanghai Singapore International School kicked off their 15th year of providing quality education to the expatriate community in Shanghai with a big bang. It was an unforgettable night of entertainment filled with dazzling songs, dance and drama. All this took place at the prestigious Shanghai Concert Hall on the evening of April 1.
Distinguished guests, prominent business leaders and the SSIS community were invited to herald the arrival of spring with the Minhang and Xuhui campuses. The audience of more than 1,200 people were treated to stunning dance routines, instrumental duets, angelic voices, piano solos and Peking Opera. The audience was even invited into a world of "pure imagination" as they were taken on a magical and mysterious journey through a chocolate factory.
SSIS students and teachers spent several months preparing for the Spring Concert 2011. This event marks the culmination of SSIS students' exploration of different cultural arts, the development of their knowledge and skills and the fearless expression of their talents in the performing arts.
"Crystal Comes Alive" was indeed a momentous occasion and a triumph for the Shanghai Singapore International School.
