Artist ‘zigzagging way home’ through art

A solo exhibition, entitled “Zigzagging My Way Home,” of Chinese-Swiss artist Franklin Chow will be opening at the Power Station of Art.

Nearly 40 pieces of his installations, drawings, visual works and an ink-wash painting “diary” in which he has recorded his daily life for the past 20 years will be displayed to Chinese viewers for the first time.

In addition, four pieces of Chinese antiques from a Shanghai Museum collection will also be showcased, all of which served as inspiration for Chow’s artwork.

The exhibition is Chow’s new artistic effort that reflects his “zigzagging way home” by revisiting China in his 70s. Visitors are encouraged to explore various issues with Chow, such as cultural identity, roots and memories.

Date: August 3-October 17, 10am-6pm

Venue: Power Station of Art

Address: 200 Huayuangang Rd
