NANA 2 (Japan, 2006)
The friendship between two 20-year-old girls who have contrasting personalities, but the same name. They meet each other on a train, become good friends and share the sweetness and bitterness of growing up.
This movie impressed me a lot. The two girls inspire each other while confronting troubles. It's hard-earned to meet a bosom friend. Their experiences reveal that a friend in need is a friend in deed.
3 Idiots (India, 2010)
Ryan, Hari and Alok are students sharing a dorm at a royal engineering institute. They are considered idiots on the campus acclaimed of meticulous scholarship. Their surprising behavior soon raises discontent among school role models.
This film shows how we should confront the future and dreams. Although the world and society are confused, as long as we keep our faith, dreams will come true.
Burn After Reading (US, 2008)
A CIA agent is fired while working on his memoir. His wife steals the memoir but leaves it accidentally in a gym. It falls into the hands of two gym employees who decide to use it to their benefit, leading to them being pursued by CIA killers.
It shows a variety of black humor. At the beginning we think it's ridiculous. Yet, it is a profound significance that a tiny incident will cause such a series of changes.
Up in the air (US, 2009)
Ryan Bingham is a corporate downsizing expert who spends more than 300 days flying across the US to conduct layoffs. Just as he is about to reach his ten million frequent flyer miles, he meets another frequent flyer.
How do we live? Our family, work, love - how can we deal with them? In this movie we find that life can't be perfect. Only by not doing what you want to do, will leave you with any regrets.
