Pop star to play Shanghai in August

AMERICAN singer and actress Ariana Grande, 24, is bringing her world tour to China for the first time in August. The three stops are Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
Grande began her career in 2008 in the Broadway musical “13,” before playing the role of Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon television series “Victorious” (2010) for four seasons.
Her first hit single “The Way” instantly became No. 1 after seven hours of release on March 26, 2013. She released her album “Yours Truly” on September 3, 2013, which became No. 1 on Billboard. She’s made music videos for some of her own songs, “Put Your Hearts Up,” “The Way,” “Baby I” and “Right There.”
On May 22 this year, Grande performed to a sold-out concert at the 21,000-capacity Manchester Arena in England. However, 23 died after the performance as the venue was targeted by a suicide bomber.
