Works of Splendor

SITU Biqi was born in Singapore in 1963. She is intensely passionate about Chinese painting and calligraphy, having been trained in these timeless arts from an early age.

In addition to holding a degree in business administration from Hawaii Pacific University, she was also a student at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore.  Having received training from American Chinese calligraphy master Yuan Zhizhong in the US, she has also studied under the likes of Singaporean artist Tan Kim Ser and Shanghai goldstone, painting and calligraphy master Lu Jinliang.

She has received multiple art awards from the Singapore Art Society for her work. Her pieces have appeared in numerous exhibitions in Singapore and China, where they have been very well received.

Presently, she is showing her work encompasses various styles of calligraphy including seal script, oracle script, clerical script, semi-cursive script and also pieces with her own flavor and style.
