Best of the Mediterranean at Mi Casa
MI Casa offers a range of Mediterranean cuisine, including tapas, in a homey yet elegant setting where everyone is welcome, including families.
Located on the seventh floor in Takashimaya, the restaurant is decorated in relaxed European style. Multicolored plants hang from chandeliers in the main dining area, which is open for lunch, brunch and dinner. There's also a casual dining area for afternoon tea and a bar.
Mi Casa has an distinctive menu with a wide and diverse range of cuisines, from Italian to Spanish, including a selection of tapas.
Menus for children and vegetarians are also available.
At Mi Casa, afternoon tea is served in Spanish and French style, and desserts are exquisitely made, served on wooden trays.
Executive Chef Kike is passionate about his work, travels broadly to learn many countries' food culture and perseveres in creating delicacies. Creative new dishes are always surfacing as the menu changes.
Food is both traditional and modern. French ingredients are carefully chosen.
Staff is well trained and attentive.
The chef recommends spaghetti with crab and cream sauce (80 yuan/US$13) and roasted whole red snapper on top of comfit potatoes and red pepper sauce (115 yuan).
Tapas are a must-try, including spinach with raisins, apple and peanuts (80 yuan). Bucket of mussels with white wine is 55 yuan. To complete the meal, order their Lapis Chocolate Nemesis at 50 yuan. It's the ultimate molten chocolate cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
