NO plans for Christmas yet? Why not celebrate the magical festive season at the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund? Here you can marvel at a Christmas wonderland, featuring the celebrated two-story Waldorf Astoria Heritage Christmas Tree that attracts thousands of Waldorf fans every year, seasonal decorations and a range of Christmas menus and other treats.

Whether you are looking for a romantic Christmas break for two, a magical family experience or a festive party with all the trimmings, join the Waldorf team for a full seasonal program on the Bund.

On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, guests are invited to enjoy a fabulous array of festive dishes at Pelham’s, a Black Pearl restaurant, and the Grand Brasserie.

The Pelham’s will offer a special Christmas set menu featuring classic dishes such as roast turkey, wagyu fillet and Christmas log cake. While at the Grand Brasserie, guests can tuck into a wonderful buffet featuring the whole tuna carving, the whole roasted baby lamb, herb-roasted turkey, traditional yule log cake, mince pies, Christmas pudding and more.

Santa will be making an appearance at the buffet, after a busy evening delivering presents, and live jazz music will be performed.

If you are looking to celebrate Christmas with Chinese flavors, the Wei Jing Ge restaurant presents a nine-course menu, which includes roasted turkey stuffing roll with cinnamon squash and other Cantonese and Shanghainese classics.

Throughout December, the Salon De Ville and Peacock Alley invite guests to enjoy a quality afternoon with friends and family with a festive afternoon tea set.

Here you can reminisce about the year gone by while sipping a hot cup of Irish whiskey cream black tea and savoring holiday favorites like the red velvet yule log cake, mince pies, mini stollen and honey-roasted ham sandwiches with homemade cranberry jam. This year, the Waldorf is also making the gift pick-up easier with their celebrated Christmas hampers, which feature delights such as traditional Swiss stollen, French duck pâté and stunning Spanish Ibérico ham.
