It’s a 3-day party at beer festival

The 6th Guozhou Shanghai International Beer Festival will be held from October 16 to 18 at Wharf 1846.

This festival is the city’s biggest beer festival with the widest selection of beers in China. More than 250 international beers from 24 countries are offered during the festival. According to organizer Bevex, the goal is to give international brewers, microbreweries and beer distributors a platform to connect with beer lovers.

Dozens of food vendors will offer a selection of international dishes for those looking to nibble between pints.

“This SIBF is going to be very special. We’re going to have some new food vendors that will really help make the event an exciting experience,” said Brian Offenther, SIBF’s entertainment director.

Swiss restaurant and brewer Alpirsbacher Klosterbrau will be offering a Swiss beer fondue.

It’s made with imported Swiss cheese and melted with Alpirsbacher Klosterbrau beer.

Brazilian restaurant Boteco will also be joining for the first time. They will have snacks like coxinha (chicken and breaded dough) and pastel (cheese and meat).

Some performances will also be staged during the festival and there will also be some games.

“There’s going to be many great DJs, dancers and singers, with more than 20 total performers over the 3 days,” said Offenther.
