AS the Chinese Lunar New Year draws near, it's time for festive food shopping, which always includes sweets.
Candies are high on the shopping list because they are placed around at home and giving to visiting friends and relatives. Among the many varieties, plum candies, milk candies and nougats are the most common.
Shanghai Daily picks a few from City Shop and Shanghai No. 1 Food Department Store.
