Starbucks offers two refreshing new iced teas with local launch of Teavana brand

STARBUCKS Coffee Company announced the launch of the Starbucks Teavana brand in China on August 30. The brand aims to delight Chinese customers with a completely new and modern tea experience.

For its debut, Starbucks Teavana brings two new iced shaken tea beverages created specifically with the Chinese customer in mind. Featuring high quality teas and layered flavors, the Ruby Grapefruit Iced Black Tea and the Peach Iced Green (Oolong) Tea are handcrafted by passionate Starbucks baristas.

The two new beverage innovations are the result of an in-depth, creative exploration of blending the most popular fruit flavors, culinary lifestyle trends and the finest black, tea and Oolong teas with the goal of bringing something new and unexpected to customers.

Starbucks sourcing and blending experts sample hundreds of teas daily to select only the finest teas for Starbucks Teavana. These ingredients come to life as skilled baristas craft each beverage by hand and unleash a sophisticated, delicious flavor profile.

The Iced Shaken Honey Ruby Grapefruit Black Tea — a traditional Western black tea with a creative twist — combines tea with tart ruby red grapefruit pieces and puree, perfectly portioned in honey for a touch of added sweetness.

The Iced Shaken Peach Green/Oolong Tea is an elevated but familiar flavor of iced green/Oolong tea with refreshing diced peaches and peach juice.

The two new Starbucks Teavana iced shaken teas join the existing popular core tea beverage line-up of shaken iced teas in China, including the Iced Shaken Lemon Tea, Iced Shaken Blackcurrant Raspberry Juice Tea, and Iced Shaken Mango Herbal Tea. These specialty tea beverages, together with the current whole-leaf tea sachets will become part of the Starbucks Teavana portfolio across all of the more than 2,200 stores in China.
