WIT star wine available on China’s mainland

Whatever It Takes announced on September 12, at the Cultural Section of the Consulate General of Spain in Shanghai, that winekee.com has become its exclusive partner on China’s mainland, and its WIT Star Collection of Wine is now available to Chinese wine lovers.

WIT is an artwork campaign launched by 21st Century Leaders Foundation in the United Kingdom.

Made by renowned winemaker Vicente Gandia, the WIT collection is all personally selected by top stars, including George Clooney, Charlize Theron, Pierce Brosnan, Penelope Cruz, Cold Play and David Bowie.

Each logo of the WIT collection is designed by a leading celebrity from film, fashion, music and sports. All related revenue is used to support the charity work carried out by the 21st Century Leaders Foundation, covering issues like poverty, environment and children. Through the sales of items such as celebrity artworks, wine, iPhone and iPad covers, laptop accessories, and caps and gowns, the foundation has raised over 30 million yuan (US$4.9 million).

Wine by George Clooney

At the ceremony, the first presented was the dry red wine endorsed by and named after Hollywood star George Clooney. Among distinctive wine varieties, nothing could beat Cabernet Sauvignon for the ideal choice for the Oscar winner. Grown in relatively warm climates, serious Cabernet Sauvignon can age for at least 15 years. It is a noble grape variety and intensely flavored.

Sparkling for Charlize Theron

You may say it is extremely easy to find a beauty out of the Hollywood elites. Still, Charlize Theron stands out. Considered one of the most beautiful Hollywood stars, Theron regularly tops the sexiest list around the globe. Rather than trying to look sexy, she was born that way, like her innate character. Keeping that in mind, it is not surprising that she picked the blend of brut sparkling wine with Macabeo, which offers a sense of both nature and innovation.
