Welcoming experience guaranteed at Courtyard
COURTYARD by Marriott Shanghai Pudong is a classic hotel that aims to provide premier accommodation for business travelers in the financial and business district of Pudong.
Open since 2001, Courtyard is a four-star hotel with 323 guest rooms, four bars and restaurants, plus extensive meeting and banquet facilities.
"Our Courtyard brand serves mid-level management staff, engineers and technicians, and this is how Courtyard differs from other Marriott brands," says Vivian Cao, director of marketing at Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Pudong.
Accommodation includes three executive floors and a state-of-the-art exclusive executive lounge on the 16th floor.
All rooms are equipped with an in-room safe, high speed Internet access, a telephone, voicemail and other amenities to satisfy the needs of business travelers, providing a welcoming experience for international and domestic travelers.
"We finished renovations in 2011, re-decorated half of the rooms and suites, and expanded the executive lounge," Cao explains.
"The new rooms have been changed from a traditional classic style to a more modern and fashionable look."
The hotel is only five minutes' walk to the Century Avenue Station of Metro Line 2, 4, 6 and 9, providing easy access to business centers in Shanghai.
"The transportation to the city's two airports is convenient as well," adds Cao.
Guests staying at Courtyard have plenty dining options at the hotel, in both Chinese and Western cuisine.
Spices Café serves a buffet for breakfast and dinner as well as its a la carte menu.
Hua Mei Garden Chinese restaurant provides authentic cuisine from Shangdong, Sichuan and Guangdong provinces. It also has six private dining rooms.
The Lobby Lounge and Bar is a great place for relaxing and gathering with friends and business associates. The bar has a large selection of beers, whiskies and vodkas.
Wrap It is a takeaway providing a wide selection of homemade pastry and bakery products, plus beverages and refreshments, for guests who are in a hurry and need to grab a bite on the go.
"We host different themed gourmet festivals regularly, and also have lunch sets for business guests," says Cao.
Whether you are visiting Shanghai for business or pleasure, Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Pudong is a classy yet contemporary option that will help make your stay enjoyable and hassle-free.
