Longemont blends business, pleasure

WITH its spectacular architecture of glittering facets, the international five-star Longemont Shanghai Hotel on Yan'an road is not only close to downtown but also provides premier conference facilities for a range of business events.

The 53-story hotel offers all the 24-hour business services and facilities required by business travelers and companies.

The 1,900-square-meter conference space is among the largest in five-star hotels in the city. It includes a 928-square-meter grand ballroom, a boardroom and nine multi-function meeting rooms.

The ballroom, with a 7-meter-high ceiling, can seat more than 1,200 guests.

"The Meetings and Events team of the Longemont Shanghai likes to communicate with its guests to ensure the best possible services are provided," says General Manager Udo H. Doring.

The Longemont design ensures plenty of natural light throughout, providing a warm and comfortable atmosphere for MICE participants.

The hotel is equipped with state-of-the-art technical facilities, including project screens of all sizes, the latest audio systems, teleconference equipment, simultaneous translations and an on-site support team.

Additionally, high-speed wireless Internet access is available in all function rooms and public areas, as well as the 511 individual guest rooms and suites. All guest rooms also come with a 42-inch plasma TV with international satellite channels, iPod docking station, telephone with voice-mail, and a fully stocked mini bar.

The Longemont facilities are designed for the business traveler, including a full-service business center and the luxurious Club Lounge on the 48th floor. A range of personalized service is available.

Meanwhile, themed coffee break is one of Longemont Shanghai's highlights.

At the Longemont, classic and contemporary styles complement each other in a range of luxury rooms and suites. Deluxe and Premium accommodation is available, as well as various rooms and suites with spectacular views. The Grand and Imperial suites feature Jacuzzi baths and the 318-square-meter Presidential suite contains its own kitchen where a chef can whip up anything a guest desires.

"We like to provide first-rate service with excellent facilities that guarantee all our valued guests are satisfied," said Doring.
