RENAISSANCE Shanghai Putuo Hotel offers high-quality facilities, comfortable rooms, a professional event management team and a desirable location to companies, organizations and government bodies planning MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) events.
The hotel, which held its grand opening on May 23, places a high priority on MICE as it has become a bigger part of the Renaissance's business with Shanghai emerging as an attractive destination for such activities.
"We define our hotel as a 'meetings' hotel' and we know there are a lot of opportunities in 2011 because the entire market is expanding," says Adam Cheng, marketing director of Renaissance Shanghai Putuo Hotel.
The facilities include a 1,029-square-meter ballroom with capacity for 520 people. It features a 5.5-meter ceiling, a state-of-the-art sound and light system and plenty of natural daylight.
The flexible space can be divided into smaller rooms - including a pillar-less ballroom about half the size of the main room - based on the needs of clients.
There are also four function rooms opposite the ballroom.
Each function room ranges from 38 square meters to 220 square meters, including a dining area.
All facilities are designed to meet the needs of clients to ensure a memorable and inspiring event. A team of dedicated event management professionals will be on call 24/7.
The team makes for the smooth organization of MICE events as they will be there to follow up and meet the needs - big and small - of clients.
"Any last-minute request can be handled properly with our team," Cheng says.
The hotel's concierge services ensure guests who want to get out and explore the city can get the most out of their time in Shanghai.
Renaissance Shanghai Putuo Hotel is the fifth and newest Renaissance brand hotel in Shanghai.
It features 330 chic rooms and stylish suites including Deluxe Rooms, Premier Rooms, Club Rooms, Club Suites, Presidential Suite and Chairman's Suite.
Each room and suite is designed to provide guests with a good night's sleep as beds include plush mattresses, luxury duvets and fluffy pillows.
High-speed Internet access and flat screen TVs and cable television are available in all rooms.
