Spectacular Andaz spaces have 'wow' factor

WITH the launch of Xintiandi's newest outdoor garden terrace events venue - Garden Studios and new 26th-floor premium suites - Andaz Shanghai exceeds the benchmark for hosting quality MICE events.
The residential theme Garden Studios feature four meeting rooms and a spectacular Glass Pavilion surrounded by water. A spacious entrance area in Art Deco is decorated with a collection of diverse original art and design items.
Garden Studios 1 and 2 feature an spacious kitchen. The cooking area can be closed off but also can be used for culinary "theater" where guests can chat with chefs and sample cuisine straight from the pan.
The studios are equipped with the very latest in unobtrusive audiovisual equipment. From the Garden Studio Gallery area, contemporary Chinese doors lead to the Garden Pavilion, a glass ovoid structure with nearly 360-degree views of the city, ideal for cocktail parties or wedding ceremonies.
The Garden Pavilion descends directly into the ballroom on Level 3 via a glass elevator.
Surrounding the Garden Pavilion is the East Sky Garden East, an expansive, organically shaped outdoor terrace with access to Garden Studios 1 and 2. The terrace is landscaped to create a natural setting with an unstructured feel and punctuated with rustic garden étagères containing elegant containers with vibrant, trailing blooms.
Four types of Andaz premium suites occupy the entire 26th floor, covering more than two levels. They are the Andaz Attic, Andaz Loft, Andaz Large Suite and Andaz XL Suites. The spacious suites with a modern design feature floor-to-ceiling windows affording 180-degree views of the Shanghai skyline.
They feature an array of amenities, including luxurious 600-threadcount bed linen, a work desk, a Nespresso machine, 55-inch TV; a JBL OnBeat Xtreme wireless speaker dock for iPads, iPhones and iPods.
"We're extremely excited about the launch of our new event spaces and premium suites," says Robert Hamer, Andaz Shanghai's general manager.
