Air India joins global Star Alliance

AIR India has become the newest member of the Star Alliance network, which will expand to 27 airlines serving 1,316 destinations. Air India is the first Indian airline to join a global airline alliance. The airline will add 400 daily flights and 35 new destinations in India to the Star Alliance network. Customers of Air India will be able to enjoy Star Alliance benefits beginning Friday.
