Austrian visits on the rise

China has become the fastest-growing source market of Austrian tourism with 322,000 Chinese tourists visiting the country in the first half of this year. It represents 10.7 percent increase, the Austrian National Tourist Office announced in Shanghai. They made 461,000 overnight stays in Austria, or a 13.6 percent increase, from the same period last year. In total, 899,000 Chinese tourists visited Austria last year. Innsbruck, Salzburg and Otztal Valley are among the most popular destinations of Chinese tourists.
