SPRING Airlines is offering discounts on flights from Shanghai to Thailand. A one-way flight from Shanghai to Bangkok costs only 299 yuan (US$47.84), excluding taxes and fuel surcharge. The offer is about 20 percent lower than previous discounted tickets to Thailand, a press officer with the airline said. Discounted tickets are also available on flights to Phuket island, Chiang Mai and Singapore. Political instability has caused some unrest in Thailand and travelers are advised to check the latest developments before deciding whether it’s safe to visit.
