Southeast Asia prices to fall

TRAVEL to the Southeast Asia is set to become cheaper as many local airlines are opening new routes to destinations such as Thailand and Cambodia. Juneyao Airlines launched its first international route, between Shanghai and Phuket in Thailand, on November 9, with prices from 2,500 yuan. The Shanghai-based airline said it planned to add more routes next month. Spring Airlines, meanwhile, has applied to China's civil aviation regulator to open new routes from Shanghai to Siem Reap in Cambodia and Manila and Cebu in the Philippines. China Eastern Airlines has also announced a new route to Saipan starting soon. "Prices of travel packages to Southeast Asia are expected to drop after all these new routes to be opened," said Zhang Wuan, a Spring Airlines press officer.
