Xuzhou City in east China’s Jiangsu Province, which is the birthplace of Liu Bang, the first emperor of the Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220), is increasing its tourism cooperation with Shanghai.
Xuzhou tourism officials unveiled the most popular tourism routes in the city during a promotion in Shanghai highlighting Han Dynasty cultural attractions, the Guishan Mountain Scenic Area, the Yunlong Lake Scenic Area and the Peixian Island Wetland Scenic Area.
The city, originally called Pengcheng, boasts more than 6,000 years of culture. The Han Dynasty cultural attractions include the Lion Hill Tomb of Western Han Dynasty Emperor Liu Wu, the Museum of Terra-Cotta Warriors and stone reliefs.
The Guishan Mountain Scenic Area is the site of the tomb of Western Han Dynasty Emperor Liu Zhu and his wife.
