1st CIIE exhibits clear customs

The first batch of exhibits for the third China International Import Expo passed through customs yesterday.
Estee Lauder lotion and skincare products from the United States arrived at Pudong airport.
After their arrival, COSCO Air Freight Forwarding Co declared the relevant documents to the customs at the National Convention and Exhibition Center yesterday.
The Customs Declaration Hall at the center has set up a special window for CIIE exhibits this year and the first batch quickly completed the clearance process.
It is also the first time Shanghai Customs has experimented with paperless customs clearance for the entry declaration of exhibits.
Firms taking part in the CIIE do not have to go to customs to submit required materials, instead they just need to upload electronic documents through a single window and wait for customs to review and approve them online.
