2 passengers in custody for damaging airplane window
TWO men were taken away by police for smashing an airplane window as they grew impatient over their delayed flight.
They were aboard a Spring Airlines flight from Xiamen to Shanghai on Monday night but the flight was postponed by the air traffic controller.
After waiting for about an hour, the two men grew irritated and argued with the flight crew about the delay. One of them broke a plane window with his elbow, Shanghai Morning Post reported today.
Police came and took them away after taking pictures of the broken window.
After examination, the external layer of the window was intact and the plane was safe to take off, Zhang Wu'an, an airliner spokesperson, was quoted as saying.
The two were still under investigation.
