2 suspects nabbed in Xintiandi masked attack

POLICE said two suspects had been nabbed for an assault in downtown Xintiandi area yesterday, which left three company employees injured.
Luwan District police said some of the seven masked men who came in two cars for the attack had been seized and police were still pursuing the rest. Their motivation for the attack was still unclear.
The group hacked three employees of a company on the first floor of a building at 8 Jinan Road with knives and iron rods at 2:50pm yesterday.
One of the three victims, surnamed Yan, was seriously wounded and is still in intensive care in Ruijin Hospital. The other two are in stable conditions.
Yan, 41 from Chongqing Municipality, was an honest man and never had an enemy, said his wife.
