30 seized in police raid of gambling parlors

SHANGHAI police said today they detained 30 suspects for gambling in suburban Qingpu District and seized more than 15,000 yuan and eight gambling machines.
Police said some entertainment venues in the city's outskirts use the gambling machines to attract customers. Gamblers first buy game coins and cash out later.
Police said they are still investigating the case.
