7 injured as cargo truck crashes into mini bus in FTZ

SEVEN people were injured, including 3 critically, when a mini-bus and a cargo truck crashed into one another this morning on Fute Road M in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone in the Pudong New Area, local news portal xinmin.cn reported.

Witlessness reportedly said the mini-bus was carrying people to work when the crash took place about 8:40am.

A security guard working at a nearby factory reportedly said the cargo truck lost control, veered into oncoming traffic and hit the mini-bus. He added that the cargo truck seemed to have a burst tire before the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Seven passengers on the minibus were injured and they were rushed to No. 7 People's Hospital, the report said.

Traffic police are investigating the accident.
