LOCALS will enjoy a seven-day National Day holiday from October 1 to 7, but to compensate for their extended break, they have to work on the weekend of October 8 and 9, the city government announced yesterday.
During the seven-day holiday, all public services will be closed and a variety of festivities, such as firework displays and concerts, will be held. Landmark buildings will be decorated with lights.
