EIGHT passengers were injured when a car collided with a shuttle bus on a slippery elevated road in Shanghai yesterday.
Witnesses said the bus first hit a lamp post at the side of the road and blocked the lanes near a ramp on Humin expressway in Minhang District about 8am. A car following behind failed to stop in time and crashed into the rear of the bus. The eight people injured were passengers on the bus, traffic authorities said. No one in the car was hurt. The injured were all in stable condition, officials said. Police said the bus was a company shuttle bus, carrying about 40 passengers at the time.
