Abandoned baby girl still mystery
POLICE are looking for the parents of a baby girl thought to have been abandoned on Thursday near a wet market in suburban Jinshan District.
The parents of the baby, about six months old, had not claimed the girl by late yesterday.
The baby girl, in red skirt and red socks, was found around 1pm in Jinshanwei Town of the district, police said.
A camera caught a man with a white shirt, holding a buggy with the baby inside, at 12:55pm at the market. He disappeared, leaving the girl and the buggy beside the street, police said.
In the buggy, police found milk powder, diapers and clothes but no identification. Officers were taking care of the baby.
Those with information should call the police hotline, 57260110, in Chinese.
