Accomplices of man who gets death penalty jailed

A COURT announced judgments yesterday in four cases related to Zhao Fuqiang, who was given a death sentence with a two-year reprieve over 10 charges such as rape, leading an underworld-like organization and fraud.
Among the four cases, Hu Chenghao and Sun Zhendong, former director and former deputy director of two police stations in Yangpu District, were sentenced to our years and 18 months behind bars, respectively, for shielding the organization led by Zhao, the Shanghai No. 2 Intermediate People’s Court said.
Huang Fei and Zhang Yue, who took part in Zhao’s organization and helped him swindle compensation for demolition, involving over 24 million yuan (US$3.5 million), were sentenced to four years and three years and two months, respectively.
All defendants in the four cases, apart from Hu and Sun, were also fined 20,000 yuan.
