Activities curtailed
SHANGHAI authorities said yesterday some of the activities planned for the city during the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday will be postponed, and some of tourist attractions will be closed.
It comes in the wake of a pneumonia outbreak nationwide.
Walking tours to explore historic buildings in Xuhui, Jing’an and Huangpu districts, which were scheduled for January 29, will be delayed as a precautionary measure, organizers said. The tours are divided into five routes and 500 people were expected to participate. A new date will be announced later.
