An island paradise

THE Seychelles Pavilion at the Africa Joint Pavilion in Zone C celebrates its National Pavilion Day today.

Stepping into the pavilion, visitors will be greeted by the beautiful Coco de Mer palm forest and a shimmering blue light that resembles the waves of the sea.

With a theme of "Sustainable Urban Development: The Seychellois Exception," the Seychelles Pavilion comprises three exhibitions: Nature, Tourism and City.

Drawing inspiration and elements from the country's natural resources and human culture, the pavilion focuses on displaying the "wonder" of balance between nature and cities. Featuring the unique granite landscape and employing multimedia techniques, the pavilion presents the Seychelles' gorgeous scenery.

Symbolizing modern civilization, a spindle-shaped column stands against a seaside landscape. Around the column, schools of fish dance in the changing light.

Photographs of smiling faces and city images have been added to form a picture of harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature.
