Arial snapshots sought for photo contest
AIR passengers who took snapshots through airplane windows can submit their works for a photo contest.
Organized by the Wenhui Daily, the contest accepts any pictures taken through an aircraft window whether it is a bird's eye view of the Earth, a cityscape or an astronomical phenomenon.
"As air travel becomes common for many Chinese, it is a good idea to collect all the beautiful pictures taken from the air," said Zhang Yuanmin, chairman of the Shanghai Photographer Association, one of the program's sponsors.
Entries will be selected by a panel of judges who are all members of the association. The top winner will receive a cash prize of 10,000 yuan and two air tickets provided by China Eastern Airlines.
An exhibition will be held in Shanghai in October to show all the winning photos.
Contestants can send their works by email to kzpk2012@126.com before August 20. Each one can send a maximum of five photos.
The photos should be at least 1M in file size and in JPEG format. They should be named "title-sender's name-sequence number."
The winners and their photographs will be published in the Wenhui Daily and on its official website in early September.
