Arrest over murder of female illegal cabbie

A MAN was arrested over the murder of a female driver working as an illegal cabbie, local prosecutors said yesterday.
Zhu Yinyuan, aged 21, is alleged to have cut the throat of the driver, surnamed Yang, on April 26, according to prosecutors.
After being attacked, Yang was seen by passers-by trying to phone her husband, surnamed Hu, about 7pm on Dongchuan Road W. in suburban Minhang District.
Yang was later pronounced dead in hospital.
The suspect was found on April 28 in an Internet cafe in Minhang, police said.
According to the authorities, Zhu said he killed Yang as he didn't have money to pay his cab fare and feared she would call people to come and beat him up.
