Arson suspect caught, four injured in fire

A man was arrested for allegedly setting fire in an old lane in Yangpu District early this Morning. The fire injured four people and two were in critical condition, police said.
Police found iron tubes, water bottles and gasoline at the scene on Zhoujiapai Road near Linqing Road and caught the suspect, surnamed Shen, soon after.
The fire started around 2:45am in a three-storey shikumen house in the lane and then spread to a mahjong parlor and a nearby building. The old house was severely burnt and its front door collapsed.
Police are still probing the case.
