BMW lands on scooter in collision

A car lost control and rode on a scooter in a traffic accident this morning in the city's Hongkou District.
The scooter driver was injured and sent to a hospital where he is now in stable condition.
Police said they have detained the women who drove the BMW and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
The mishap occurred at about 7:45am during the morning rush hour. The silver BMW 3 Series hit the scooter at the intersection of Quyang Road and Tengke Road. Under the impact of the collision, the car ended up on the top of the scooter. The scooter driver was seriously wounded and there was blood at the spot amid leaked engine oil from the car and the scooter.
The accident attracted many onlookers but traffic was restored to normal after police cleared up the scene.
