Baby Killed During Brawl Between Drunks

A six-month-old boy was killed yesterday during a dispute between two drunk men in Xuhui District, police said.
A man surnamed Xu fought with the other man in the Wannan No. 2 residential complex after consuming alcohol yesterday afternoon.
The wife of the second man, holding the baby in her arms, tried to separate the two, according to a report by Xinmin.cn.
But Xu suddenly produced a knife and cut the child on the back of his head. Then Xu grabbed the baby from the woman's arms and trampled on him, the report said.
The child was pronounced dead at hospital.
