Baby suffers fracture in forced leg exercise
A baby care center in Shanghai denied responsibility for a thighbone fracture of a 2-month-old boy after the mother exposed it to local media.
The woman surnamed Li said her baby was injured in a privately-owned baby gym named after its founder Cai Hong when a nurse was performing a baby exercise on her son several days ago.
She said the boy cried when the nurse pulled and pushed his legs eight or nine times and she expressed doubt that the exercise was too hard. But the nurse smiled and said parents don't have the heart to do it appropriately.
The accused nurse, surnamed Zhao, however, denied she did the baby exercise on Li's son. "He started crying as soon as I put him on the bed," she said.
